The Prefab Song (Go Through That)
Dear friends. Here’s another song written, arranged and performed by yours truly.
As the title promises it’s heavily influenced by Prefab Sprout and Paddy McAloon. My beautiful wife plays the part of Wendy Smith and I’m the crooner, McAloon-style.
I’m trying to be a just a little bit clever lyric-wise, but alas, I’m no lyricist… I hope you enjoy this modest tribute to one of my favorite bands anyway.

If you read this, Jason: Sorry ’bout the parentheses, but I had no choice. It’s a good title.

Another well-done song, my friend. And your wife sounds great, too. I will ignore the parentheses…just this once.

Thanks Jason. My wife is always reluctant to step up in front of the microphone, but she has no reason to be - I love her voice.

Late to the party, but Jeez Louise, this is some tasty stuff. Prefab Sprout, yes, but I also heard some Thomas Dolby in front of OMD in there too. Quite nice, and very polished. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much, Gary. Your comment is music to my ears.
Some very nice things going on over at Corndoggedly as well. Well done!

Your wife’s backing vocals were my favorite part of the song. No offense to your contributions, of course, but she has a nice voice. Josh Rouse’s girlfriend, Paz Suay, was apparently reluctant to sing on his 2006 album, “Subtitulo,” but after she did, they made an EP together. I didn’t like that EP at first, but it’s grown on me since January.
